Alison Mulvaney / The Artist

Alison’s work interweaves emotion and the natural world using a muted palette to create a place of sanctuary and freedom of expression.

Through intuition and memory Alison taps into past generations of creatives, particularly the women in her family, as her grounding inspiration. Her work is deeply rooted in traditions of gardening, embroidery and creativity.

Alison’s gently expressive and layered style employs a variety of media and techniques including watercolour, organic inks, drawing, eco-printing and a hint of embroidery. Part of her process involves foraging for material from which she makes her own organic inks.
